Three years ago, after two decades of Canadian winters and a long career, my wife and I decided it was time for a change. We bought a home in Calp, a beautiful town on Spain’s Costa Blanca, and began spending our winters there. The sun, the sea, the food — everything about the Mediterranean lifestyle felt right.
Last winter, we tried something different and spent the season in Florida. It was nice — but it confirmed what we already felt: Spain is where we truly feel at home. The warmth isn’t just in the weather — it’s in the people, the pace of life, and the sense of history and culture all around you.
That’s why we created 365 Sunny Days — a Canadian initiative to help other snowbirds, retirees, and sunshine-seekers experience the same joy of Mediterranean living. Based in Toronto, with roots in Spain, we connect Canadians to trusted rentals, destinations, and local partners in Calp, Valencia, Alicante, and more.
